Infrastructure upgrade and exterior restoration of a landmarked 1936 federal courthouse for the GSA. This 38 story, 730,000 sf building contains 22 courtrooms, 50 judges’ chambers and court-related spaces. The key to the interior upgrade is to replace virtually all of the MEP services while leaving the historic ornate finishes intact.View the Architectural Record Article

October 2006 – April 2007 Senior Project Manager
Providing design development and preconstruction management services for the facility’s $25 Million, 100,000 sf renovation and expansion. The overall design provides a new main entrance and restoration of the facade at the current entrance. A four-story addition, anchored to the rear of the existing building will contain a new student entry and orientation space.

January 2005 – October 2007 Senior Project Manager
New York City Department of Design and Construction project was a $50,000,000 Fire/Life safety project at three occupied prison/detention facilities. Work includes fire/smoke detection systems, alarms, sprinkler systems, hydrants and water lines, smoke venting systems and security systems. Activities coordinated with Department of Corrections and other, co-located capital projects on daily basis.

November 2011 – April 2005 Senior Project Manager
The $72,000,000 project consists of renovation and expansion work on the museum and the surrounding park area. Responsibilities included overall project management, trade buyout, Wicks Law coordination, and cost control. The project work will include a 55,000 sf expansion to the main building, a 25,000 sf renovation of the existing mechanical, electrical and a data/ telecommunication upgrade. Some of the newly upgraded features will be new fire alarms, transformer vaults, elevators, public address systems, life safety systems and building management systems. the project has extensive site utility and landscape work. Other work includes the restoration of the NASA Mercury, Gemini and Apollo rockets and redesigned Rocket Park.

Riverside South is one of the largest developments ever undertaken in the history of the City of New York. This multi-billion dollar development of high-end residential, commercial and retail space, parkland, rejuvenated highway and public transportation will be situated on 74.6 vacant acres of former Penn Central rail yards – what were once derelict and abandoned. This new development is strategically located on the fashionable Upper West Side of Manhattan.

Fourteen separate projects were executed, including the expansion of the South Court, requiring underpinning of the existing landmark building; Restoration of the Maps room; Upgrading the Rare books collection needed to control the environment to preserve the collection; Constructing the Center for Scholars and Writers; developing the space below Bryant Park to store and automate the horizontal and vertical transportation of the book collection to the main reading rooms, among other infrastructure upgrades in the landmarked interiors. Responsibilities included overall project management, trade buyout,/QC and cost control. Responsible for the various structural and exterior construction systems, including exterior framing and masonry, marble facade, windows and skylights, roofing. Also developed the scheduling and the coordination of the structural and exterior systems for project/program management assignments.

The cost is $55 Million. Responsibilities included project management of the structural, architectural and site logistics disciplines. Challenges included erecting structural steel in an occupied museum with minimal disruption to the collections, public and staff.

Responsible for project management, accounting and performing the coordination and scheduling of work. Reconciliation and closeout services for occupancy for this 27-story condominium, which consists of 121 luxury condominium apartments. The project cost was $25 Million. The building was an existing warehouse that was altered in order to have a courtyard and a tower added to the existing structure.

Project involved coordinating construction of the swing spaces and moving of offices, required when the construction of the new offices at the B. Altman building on 34th Street was underway.
|Rivington HouseProject Manager
The project cost of $72 Million. This is a 256 bed HIV nursing home with sub-acute care and a TB unit. The structure was and existing school (PS 121), built in the 1890’s. The scope of work included complete modernization of all mechanical systems, new elevators, exterior restoration, and new structural steel, reinforcement of existing structural steel and terra cotta floors.
